Title 18, Chapter 9 · Unified Water Quality Permit Rules — Web Version

The On-Site Wastewater Demonstration Program directed from within Northern Arizona University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, provides a training, demonstration, and research facility to the people of Arizona to encourage the use of the best available technologies for the treatment and disposal of residential wastewater, thereby fostering improved surface and groundwater quality, as well as overall public and environmental health.

This project has limited research and development capability. We are dedicated to the propegation of alternative wastewater options for those that are "off the grid".

Funding for the NAU On-Site Wastewater Demonstration Program is provided by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Our Objectives:

  1. The demonstration of alternative technologies which are being utilized or considered in the state of Arizona.

  2. Provide training for on-site professionals (installers through regulators) and allied professionals. (real estate agents, home builders, etc...)
